This session will teach you on how to become a one-man editing team and how to start from scratch. Acquire all the basic skills and knowledge and have the freedom to become a freelance artist to earn at your will.
About your Experience Jockey (XJ)
John Verlin Santos is a graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication in Cavite State University. He is an aspiring film maker. His first ever short film was entitled RU. In 2018, his short film “Sigya” was awarded for excellence award by the Change Foundation Inc. Now, he was shortlisted in the Pelikultura Calabarzon Festival with his entry “Hagorn: Ang Batang Freestyler”.
Since 2012, he already practiced his skills in photography and videography in various events such as weddings, debuts, corporate events, product shoots, social media contents and more. He is now a full-time graphic artist and content creator in a newly opened business and still doing freelance stuff on the side.
Aside from being a film maker, he is also a spoken word artist. In 2015, he founded a spoken word collective in Cavite called Titik Poetry. In 2018, he initiated a community service platform called Project Sigya. As he pursues his career in performing, he has conducted and facilitated spoken word workshops in national events such as Cultural Center of the Philippines' Pasinaya Festival, Philippine International Literary Festival, and more. He also organizes poetry slam competition in different parts of the Philippines.
